Gutters that sag, drip at corners, pull away from the fascia, or overflow at one specific spot are usually telling you about a discrete problem, not a system that needs to come down. We diagnose first and quote the smallest fix that actually solves it.
If the runs themselves are sound, we'd rather rehang and seal than sell you a whole new system. If they're past their life, we'll tell you that too.
Gutters pulling away from the fascia or pooling water instead of draining. We rehang with hidden hangers every 24", reset the pitch, and make sure the run actually moves water to the downspout.
Mitered corners and end caps are the most common leak points. We strip the old sealant, clean the joint, and re-seal with butyl gutter sealant rated for outdoor temperature swings.
Disconnected, clogged, or running into the wrong spot. We re-route, re-strap, and add splash blocks or extensions to push water away from the foundation.
Sections crushed by ice or torn by branches. We replace the damaged run only, not the whole system, and color-match to the existing gutters.
If the runs themselves are intact and the issues are isolated (a sag, a leak, a downspout), repair is almost always cheaper. If the gutters are 25+ years old, the metal is corroded, or you've got problems on multiple runs, replacement usually wins on cost over the next 10 years.
